While the Make Space team is small, we are supported by an incredible network of survivors, facilitators, organisations, and user-led groups. We could not do this work alone.
COURTNEY BUCKLER (she/they) | EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Courtney is a survivor researcher and facilitator. They recently finished their PhD exploring mental health policymaking and practice. She is a white, working-class, Mad and Queer person, living in Bristol. They love making bad art, and are always on the hunt for snacks.
VERONICA HENEY (she/her) | RESEARCH LEAD
Veronica is a researcher exploring experiences of self-harm. Her work is informed by her own experiences and developed in collaboration with others who have experience of self-harm. She also loves walking by the sea!
BATHSHEBA WELLS DION (she/her) | COMMS LEAD
Bathsheba is an English teacher based in Bristol, with interests including cooperative learning, curriculum design, and decolonisation. She has a background in mental health anti-discrimination campaigning and absolutely loves to dance.
