Writing back

Experiences of self-harm can often feel silenced, and the world around us can feel uninterested in our lives, our insights, our needs, our knowledge. Writing is a way to reclaim our voices, to hold fast to what we have to say and why it matters.

In this session we’ll engage in reflective writing that responds to the world around us, that claims our right to be the author of our own stories, and that uses writing to begin to build the world we want to see. We’ll use creative prompts to speak back to the systems and structures that limit and silence us.

Come along to reflect, to speak out, and to find the words that speak for us.

This session is led by the Make Space team.
